Overview

​Learning a foreign language is part of the primary National Curriculum and is a requirement for all children within Key Stage 2. At Radleys Primary School, in Key Stage 2, all children are taught the modern foreign language French. Teachers follow the scheme Language Angels which develops confidence and competence in children through high quality teaching and the use of interactive teaching materials covering a wide variety of topics. The scheme not only provides children the opportunity to communicate for practical purposes and equips pupils to study and work in other countries but also aims to ignite children’s interests in other people and cultures.
