Attendance

At Radleys we believe regular attendance is vital to ensure that children receive a high-quality education and achieve their academic potential. It also helps to establish good habits and routines, which will benefit them throughout their lives. Good attendance fosters a sense of community and belonging within the school, enabling children to build strong relationships with their peers and teachers.

At Radleys, we have an attendance target of 96.4% for every child.

We place a high priority on our pupils attendance. We know that attending school every day is not only crucial for a child's academic progress and attainment but also for their mental health, wellbeing and safeguarding.

Please let school know on the first day of an unplanned absence as soon as practically possible  You can report absences to the school office in the following ways:

  • A telephone call to 01922 7213830. Parents/carers can choose to leave a message or speak to a member of the office staff

  • An email to  postbox@radleysprimary.org

  • Informing the member of the office staff of a morning.

In line with DFE requirements, we do not authorise any holidays or planned absences from school.

If you do decide to take your child out of school during term time, can we please ask that you put your request in writing and return it to  the school office, as soon as you know the dates of the absence.
