Well-Being and Mental Health
Our Vision for Well-Being and Mental Health
At Radleys Primary School, we see positive mental health and well-being as the key to effective learning and a healthy, happy life. Our vision for the children, staff and families connected to our school is for them to:
-
Have an understanding of what mental health and well-being is
-
Understand how important positive mental health is in maintaining a healthy mind and body
-
Have access to strategies to improve mental health and well-being
-
Know who to turn to when they need additional support
Our ultimate vision is for our children to be equipped with a toolkit of strategies they can use, to face the challenges life may present them with as adults whilst remaining confident and resilient.

We offer different levels of support:
Universal Support- To meet the needs of all our pupils through our overall ethos and our wider curriculum. For instance ‘Emotional Check-ins’ and building resilience for all.
Additional support- For those who may have short term needs and those who may have been made vulnerable by life experiences.
Targeted support- For pupils who need more differentiated support and resources or specific targeted interventions such as wellbeing interventions such as ELSA, or referrals to external agencies such as Reflexions.
