At Radleys Primary School we teach a thematic curriculum. These usually have a geography or history theme and allow the children to use the key skills they have been taught in English and Maths across other curriculum areas. It also helps children to be able to make links between their learning.
To find out what your child is learning and how you can support their learning at home, please click onto the appropriate 'Class' tab, where you will be able to view the yearly overview and the mid-term plans.
You can also keep up-to-date with the curriculum by visiting our blog site at radleysprimary.net and clicking onto your child's year group.
Expectations and how you can help
For details of the new National Curriculum expectations for each year group, including Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling expectations, please go to your child's year group tab under 'Classes' and click on the appropriate link.
You can also click here to access an English glossary of terms to help used in school, which can help you to support your child.
By clicking this link you can see the methods we use to teach children key Maths operations.
For curriculum related school visits or visitors you can click on the 'Office' tab under 'Events and Trips'.
You can also discuss the curriculum with your child's class teacher, either by making an appointment at the school office to see them or by attending our consultation evenings.
